Petite Messe Solennelle

On 22 November 2016, the feast day of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music, Rossini's Petite messe solennelle was performed in the San Vincenzo Church thanks to a partnership between Gioventù Musicale Italiana, Istituto Musicale “Vecchi –Tonelli”, Coro Filarmonico Luigi Gazzotti and Tempo di Musica association.

Original version for soloists, choir, two pianos and harmoniumm

[/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”small” position=”left” color=”#000000″][vc_column_text] On 22 November 2016, the feast day of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music, Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle was performed in the San Vincenzo Church thanks to a partnership between Gioventù Musicale Italiana, Istituto Musicale “Vecchi –Tonelli”, Coro Filarmonico Luigi Gazzotti and Tempo di Musica association. Rossini’s masterpiece was performed in the original version for soloists, choir, two pianos and harmonium. The soloists were chosen from the students of the Raina Kabaivanska Masterclass: Valentina Varriale (soprano), Shin Je Bang (mezzosoprano), Matteo Desole (tenor) and Marco Simonelli (bass). The instrumental part was performed by the piano duo of Marco Sollini and Salvatore Barbatano with Mario Ciferri on the harmonium. The Coro Filarmonico Luigi Gazzotti was conducted by Giulia Manicardi. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
